Is Make-Out Meals a subscription service?

We are, but we also offer a one-off box! The one-off box gives you 3 meals a week, and is perfect if you want to give us a try before committing to a weekly subscription. You can order a one-off box as many times as you want, or it's perfect as a gift for someone else!


Having a busy schedule and finding time to buy and cook delicious meals each week is tough, so we try to make it as easy as possible. Our subscription option takes the hard part out. It's flexible, so there is no minimum term and you will automatically receive meals based on your dietary requirements you selected when you first ordered, and will be debited from your account weekly. You can pause, skip, cancel or change your subscription at any time by logging in and visiting Manage Subscriptions, as long as it is before Friday when orders close off.

How can I contact you?

We are available from 7am to 10pm every day. Contact us via email at support@makeoutmeals.com.au, or by using the Messenger icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. We're here to help you with any questions, big or small.

Can I change my order after it's been placed?

You can email support@makeoutmeals.com.au to make any changes to your meals. Subscribers are able to change their recurring meals by visiting the Manage Subscription page.

Do I need anything at home on top of what's delivered?

Yes, only staples and basic cooking equipment. You can see which ingredients are needed on each recipe card or webpage, and it is limited to oil, salt, pepper, sugar, and vinegar. You will only need basic cooking utensils, pots and pans. Sometimes our recipes will have an appliance such as a blender, but this is always optional and won't stop you creating the dish without.

What size boxes do you offer?

We currently offer two box sizes: a 2-person and 4-person box. Both allow you to choose from 2-4 meals a week. If you are buying for 1 person, we suggest a 2-person box which will give you two dinners for each meal, or lunch the next day. The 4-person box can feed 4 adults, or a family with kids (with some leftovers for lunch the next day). 

How do I pause, change or cancel my subscription, or update my shipping details?

Just click Manage Subscription and you can change your box type, meal selection and delivery preferences. Or you can email us at support@makeoutmeals.com.au. Just make sure any changes are done by Friday the week before your next order.

Where does Make-Out Meals deliver to?

We deliver to over 1000 postcodes across Victoria. On the Boxes page, you can check that your postcode is within our delivery zone.

I forgot my password, what do I do?

Simply click the Manage Subscription menu on our website and then select "Forgot password?". You'll be redirected to reset your password. If you have any issues contact support@makeoutmeals.com.au.

When can I see my orders for the following week?

We will send you a weekly email to tell you about the new recipes each week.

When are the boxes delivered?

We deliver each Tuesday between 8am-6pm. You will receive a text notification when the delivery is on the way and be able to track the movements of the box, and will then receive pictures of where the box has been delivered, if you aren't home. 

How are the ingredients kept fresh during delivery and how should I store them?

Your boxes are shipped in refrigerated vehicles, meaning less risk of any food spoilage in the process. If stored properly upon delivery, all ingredients should last at least 4 days. Any perishable items such as meat, seafood and dairy are stored in an insulation bag with an ice pack to ensure everything stays cool if you aren't home when it arrives. Ingredients for each recipes are packed into separate paper bags, so you can place them straight in the fridge.

How long will my food last once delivered?

If you're not home for delivery the box will be left unattended at the front of your home, and everything will last up to 8 hours. Once you get them, you should pack the meal bags into the fridge and they can be stored there for up to 4 days. You will receive a text notification when the delivery is on the way and be able to track the movements of the box, and will then receive pictures of where the box has been delivered, if you aren't home.
