MINIMISING WASTE, INSIDE AND OUT
Inside each meal bag, fresh produce is packed loose, while grains, spices and other dried goods are packed into our custom-made paper tie bags. Herbs and other sensitive produce is packed into reusable herb bags to ensure the produce can stay fresh for at least 7 days without signs of wilting and decay. These bags can be reused to store other herbs or produce and extend the shelf life of other items in your fridge to further reduce food waste.
FRESH & SUSTAINABLE COOL BAGS
Meat, seafood and dairy is packed into an insulated padded bag which has been specially sourced as an alternative to aluminium bubble bags used by other meal kit providers, and can be dropped straight into your curbside recycling. Ice blocks can be stored in the freezer and reused for various occassions such as kids lunch boxes, picnics or camping trips, Otherwise, pierce the bags, drain the gel and then place the satchel in a soft plastics recycling bin.
RETURN THE LEFTOVERS
We won't stop there, we'll even pick up your trash! Simply leave your box, insulated cool bag and ice block out the front when you are expecting your next delivery, and we will collect them, sanitise them and re-use them. Simply make sure they are not damaged or contaminated and we will do the rest.
